A Death Cafe is a gathering where people come together to openly and respectfully discuss death in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment. It allows participants to share their thoughts and experiences while learning from each other, facilitated by a trained host either in-person or virtually.

An end-of-life doula, also known as a death doula, offers compassionate, thoughtful end-of-life support to individuals and their chosen families. An end-of-life doula is community-based and does not provide clinical care. Doula services may complement hospice or palliative care or be tailored to meet specific needs. Approaching the end of one’s life is an extraordinarily unique process. Our services will adapt to and accommodate your chosen end-of-life experience.

The North Coast EOL Collective provides virtual and in-person education and training on end-of-life topics for the community and professionals.

With a servant’s heart, the North Coast EOL Collective welcomes the invitation to meet with community groups, health and human services organizations, faith-based organizations, and others to share about our work and consider ways to make the inevitable a shared responsibility. Living well and ending well is integral to the health and well-being of a community.

The Collective provides comprehensive grief, bereavement, and traumatic loss services. With a team of compassionate and skilled professionals, we create a safe and empathetic space for individuals to navigate their grief. Our services encompass a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling, support groups, and collective traumatic loss services. Through a collaborative and personalized approach, we aim to reduce suffering, foster acceptance, and support the integration of loss into one's life.

An end-of-life legacy project is a creative and meaningful undertaking that enables the individual to reflect on their life, values, and legacy and to leave a lasting gift for their loved ones or community. It may take many forms, such as personal memoirs, audio or video recordings, artwork, poetry, charitable giving, family history research, legacy letters, or end-of-life planning documents.

Advanced Care Planning is a process that helps individuals anticipate and express their preferences regarding future medical care, especially if they become unable to communicate or make decisions. It often involves discussions with healthcare professionals and family members and completing legal documents, such as living wills or durable power of attorney for healthcare.

Assess, plan, and help implement a network of supportive resources during and after the end of life. Facilitate connections with community resources and organizations. Provide information to enhance knowledge on end-of-life services and options.

A burial shroud is a wrapping for a deceased being's body. We also call them winding sheets, grave clothes, or cerecloth. In green burial, we carefully consider our choices for final disposition within our ecological relationships in life and death. A burial shroud is generally made of textiles with colors, designs, or details that are meaningful to the deceased.
